Ray Charles(Civil Right)
Summary Ray was not born blind this is why he knew how to play the piano very well. I said that cuz' i thought he was born blind when i saw the tittle of this movie in ethe cinema. Ray has one little brother who died when he was a childhood by failing into the tub that his mother use for her job as laundry. Ray was so confused when he saw his brother fail into the tub, he didn't know that his lil brother couldn't get out of the tub as he tried. Anyway Ray supposed that he killed his brother and he was always felt sorry about it and always in his imagination.
After while Ray became bline, I was not so clear about why he became bline but the tear kept running out of his eyes until he didn't see anything. I do adore his mother, she is the perfect mother and she's deserved to be one. Ray's mother always taught him to be strong and to help himself, Stand on his own feet as a blind. Just like one thing she said;
You may be blind but you ain't stupid
This woman is amazing, she worked so hard and always had her own motto to teach her son. I like her ^__^!.
Before Ray became blind he learnt the piano from the old guy who play piano in the pub at the place where he lived. Ray came from the south and I had some information that people on the south played Gospal music which is about God or something that put the words that about God in the lyrics.
The thing that i don't understand is why when he became famous and he wanted to play his own music with the Gospal stuffs, and some people resisted him. How could his music related to the Rock 'n Roll??I'm still quite behind for the american music but I'm doing my best to learn..^_^!
So when it's time for Ray to go to school, his mother left him to the blind school. i didn't understand the way she did for him but anyway when Ray grew up he'd found himself as a pianist and he did it excellently!
Ray had one wife but during his music on the road he was such a playboy( i don't like this thing about him) and he used drug. He got caught once but the record company helped him out. Then he started doing his music again but he still didn't give up the drugs. Ray became more and more famous but oly one thing was drugs. Finally he tried so hard to give up the drugs by stay in the hospital did the treatment until it's done.
Ray also became accepted by the union and the other people who did't like him before. He got many reward. And he passed away 2 years ago! in 2004..i didn't know that before..lol
My opinion & What I have seen -Jazz music + R&B music
: It's the music that Ray played I think. I'm not so sure but i guess Jazz+R&B= Rock 'n Roll music?
-Gospal Music
: I didn't know what's wrong with this type of music that made some people resisted Ray. It's the music that coulor skin people from the south play and it's about God. I don't know what's wrong with it?
-Playboy
: Even blind man, when he became famous and artist many girls wanted to be with him. I don't really agree with his idea to be a playboy. And what i have found that the guy who's truely has the artist blood, they are playboy because they looked charming in front of girls.
-Drugs
: in the movie they said he had the heroin, it was so awful time that he addictive to it. I like to seen that his wife ,Bea, came to him and told him about his son's successful with his sport. then she said if u don't give up the drug u would loss one thing that u love more than me and my son and everything that is "music"..i think that one made Ray think about and started to do the treatment for quicking the drugs..^_^
-The Change
: I'm still talking about music(cuz' in the movie it's about music) and how it change. It's like fighting between the modern attitude people and conservative people. Conservative and Religionist couldn't accept on what Ray did on his music as Ray tried to change things.
I think it's always like this for many period of time in every kind of thing for example the people who discovered science the conservative people would think they didn't respect the nature and so. But finally we need science and that make now aday people are more open with changing and innovation stuffs.
Patton(WW II)
Summary The feeling of watching this move is quite different from the other movie " Thin Red line" although both movies are about the war but i could feel something different when u watch it.
Patton is the movie about the World war between USA and Germany. The guy in the picture he was a captain in the movie. He is so pround and has got a completely solider's blood. Russia also joint the USA this time and finally Germany lost the war. I'm sorry that i can't explain too much about the War cuz' id on't really how could i begin it. I'm not really good at telling the story about the history during the World War time.
The guy in the picture his name is George, he is a very pround man. He had a lot of his motto and he knew what his life and what he wanted his country to be.
I don't know what to write about this movie but i can just say that I like this movie..lol I'm sorry Ajarn i coudn't write much.

James Brown--> was born poor, he is African_American(for sure he didn't get the best treat from the society), got troble with drugs, been in the prison twices, he had got many wifes mean that he couldn't really find the perfect love.
Chuck Berry--> he was not poor like James Brown, but he'd been to the prison twice, even got trouble with women about the camera stuffs.
Which artists did you prefer? Why?- I think I prefer James Brown although he'd got problem with drugs many times.

I don't really know how to begin to write about this movie because i don't really like the Wa and i needed to be so patient to watch this movie until it's done.
But anyway it's a movie about the War between USA and Japan. There was the Island that Japanese miritary set up the Airport. It's on the top of the Island. The Us. army went to the Island by Boat and got into the Island to fight with Japan. There were so many Us. soldiers died because there were really no place to hide from the machine gun. there were grass everywhere.
It's too bad that the more powerful soilder was so mean to the small soldier who didn''t have any power. He kept commanding the soldiers to get into the top of the island and they died.
The movie began with this picture that this guy in the picture he ran away from going to fight to the war. He was afraid. But anyway the Us. Army got him back.
IN the movie what I have seen was only shoooting ,fighting, people died, they scared and the high position soldier was very mean and selfish kept commanding without consideration.
On the above picture, the guy who was holding the phone was so selfish because the soldiers needed some water so they would have energy. The captain asked him for water to soldiers and he didn't give them water.
I think this guy was a main actor in this movie because the story kept expressing his thought. He didn't want to fight. He was a peaceful man and he had to go to the war. He had a girlfriend back home and he kept thinking about her during he was in the war. But he died at the end of the movie also Japan lost in the Island.
But the movie isn't end like that. The US. soldiers still going to the other places to fight.
About what I've seen in the movie- Us. Men had to go to the war and left their family home.
- Many Us. soldier died because of the war.

Summary ACtually i don't know why A. Cecil gave me this movie because it's not a moive about American culture at all but now i know that maybe it's the movie that people in the Great Depression period watch.
Anyway It's the story about the girl name Dorothy. Dorothy has a dog name Toto and she loves her dog so much.One day the landlord came to her home and blamed Toto and she took Toto with her to punish. Toto was a smart dog he escaped from the basket that the Landlord took with her. Toto came back to Dorothy, she was so happy and also scared that the Landlord would come back and took Toto from her again. So she decided to run away from home.
On the way Dorothy met the futune tell, who were the fake fortune teller, he pretended that he knew why Dorothy was there and run aways from. He told her that her auntie was so sad that Dorothy left home and now she was sick. Dorothy was very worry about her Auntie Em so she went back home.
Before Dorothy was arriving home there were such a big herrican came along her city and took everything away. Dorothy tried to get into her house but she didn't see anybody. Dorothy fail asleep and the herrican moved her house into the rainbow.
Dorothy house fail down on the bad Witch and she died left only the red shoe. Dorothy met the good witch and she gave the red shoe to Dorothy because she deserved it as she killed the bad witch. Dorothy told the good witch that she wanted to went back home. But the good witch said there was the only person who could help her was the Wizard of Oz. So Dorothy decided to go to see him.
On her way to Wizard Oz she met 3 new friends
The first one was Scarecrow, he said he didn't have brain and he wanted it. Then Dorothy asked him to join her way to Wizard Oz to help him to get the brain.
The second friend was Tin man, he said he didn't have heart and he wanted. Then he jointed the way to Wizard Oz with Dorothy.
And the last new friend was Coward Lion, he was shame himself cuz' he didn't have a braveness. Then he also jointed Dorothy's way to Wizard Oz.
Dorothy and three new friends went to Wizard Oz, until they got to see the wizard oz he told her to do one thing was getting the bloom from the bad witch from the other side of the rainbow. And they did but unfortunately they found out later that wizard Oz was just a professor, he didn't have any magic.
Finally he had got an idea to help Dorothy's friend by saying that everybody has their brain, heart and braveness but they didn't use it.
The professor was going to help Dorothy by taking her with him with the Balloon but there was something happen that Dorothy missed the Balloon.
The good witch appeared to help Dorothy went back home and Dorothy got home with her eyes open and she saw everybody. She told everybody about where had she been to but nobody believe her. And the last thing she said
No any places like home and she wouldn't run away from home anymore
My opinionI think this is more a movie of entertaining people. You just feel like you were Dorothy and following her adventure. But i think this movie is also teaching the watchers many things.
It's like when the Scarecrow told Dorothy that he doesn't have brain. so Dorothy asked how could he speak without brain. then the scarecrow said
so many people speak without thinking that's why he could speak
and i think it's actually true..lol
And even when the professor said he couldn't give anybody brain, heart or braveness because they had already gotten it. I agree with him, Dorothy's friends had all what they needed but they didn't use it so they didn't know thay they had one.
but anyway, some people may think that it's a boring movie but i like it..*_^ Thanks A. Cecil for giving me this movie. I've heard about it but i didn't really know what would the movie look like.

Woody's life. He was an amazing guy. The movie was actually so depressing because at that time Texas, the town that Woody live, had got so many problem for example the
dust storm and
unemployment.
People in the
Texas were just wishing to move to
California for the better life and job. First Woody didn't believe that things would be better if he moved his family to the California. He tried his best for having the great life in Texas.
But things became worsen after Texas was faced to the dust storm. He decided to go to California alone. It was such a terrible time until he got to the California there were so many obstacle because he didn't really have any money to travel there properly.
Fortunately he was an artist. It's just in his blood that he could sing and paint very well. With his Talent he could get a chance to be signed to the record company. First he got the job by meeting one singer that time population were so depressing they really needed the entertaining, so the singer was just raveling around and sing for the unemployed people or any other crowd to entertaining make them relax.
Woody met that single when he came to sing for the unemployed crowd. The singer had discovered Woody's talent then he took Woody to cast and Woody got a job since then.
Woody was becoming famous and richer so that he called his family at Texas to move to live with him.
More Woody worked in the record company more he got tired of the manager because he was forced to sing some songs that he didn't write himself or even rushed him to get the new list of songs.
Woody had such a strong artist blood. He was tough with his boss because Woody didn't like anybody to tell him what to do. He care a lot for his Glory. So he didn't really care about the job anymore. Woody's wife scared of becoming poor again so she tried to ask him about the job and family. They had a big fight one day and later she left Woody because she was just felt unsecure.
Too bad that his wife didn't know Woody was getting a big chance for being a singer in the hotel to sing on the stage for rich people. But anyway Woody didn't like the job and he was just left the cast.
Woody had left a great chance of getting more money and came back to sing on the street encourage unemployed people, poor people and any other people who he could meet on the ground.
Woody's CharacteristicsI am telling u how impressive I was when i watched this money. Woody's characteristices were so outstanding then any others in the movie.

Artistic: it was so strong inside Woody's blood. The songs he wrote were just came out from his heart and his soul. He wrote the song very well and it made him famous because he wrote the song that exactly what people at that time felt like and face to.

Tought: Oh yeah! he was such a tough guy. I like all the words that came out from his mouth. He was not fake at all. He could even be tought with his manager who gave him the job. This is amazing! he didn't really care..lol

Generousity: I couldn't believe that he gave away his 50 dollar to the guy who he took his car with. He gave 50 dollar to that guy because the guy drove with 2 young kids and when they arrived to the boarder of California people had to pay 50 dollar to get into the place.

Flirty: this is the only big thing i don't like about him because he slept with 2 ladies whom were not his wife on the way to Califoria. First lady he met on the way and the second one he met at the Lady Aid Associate. It was still good of him that he told the truth that he had wife and children..lol
Things that I've learned, or got from the movie* We are all have trouble and hard time. Nobody's trouble is harder than the others tt's just how would we look at the trouble to be look like. If we would just be like Woody, I'm sure there will be the way out someday soon.*_^

I think it's a Romantic comedy movie. It's a story about people in the Hollywood. I don't remember the name of the company that Don Lockwood worked but it's kind of hollywood life and the revolution of teachnical thing of filming. Don Lockwood had made the file as he put the speech after the sceen. He didn't really put on any voice in the movie. But later the Dicrector wanted the talking picture so he had to change his movie to be with the new teachnique. But the problem was actually withh Ms. Lina Lamont that she look beautiful but she couldn't really sing and her voice was not really impressive.
But finanlly Don Lockwood had found Kathy Selden and she helped him out with the teachnique of putting voice by using her voice instead of Lina Lamont. Unfortunately she didn't like Ms. Kathy Selden and she even lost her job once.
At the end of the movie Don Lockwood and HIs friend, Cosmo Brown sloved the problem by telling the audience directly about how Ms. Lina sing and who was the actual singger in the movie.
Characteristics- I think people at the period of Roaring Twnties but seem they love the music more as there was Jazz and song movie or sth. like that.
- enjoyable people with luxury jewelry and stones.
- Media was a great influent thing for people at that period.

First I got the DVD from Ajarn and read on the name of the movie I was like "hmm..I think I've heard about this movie before but i don't remember" then i went back home it was not play, I retruned to Ajarn then he gave m back. Finally I've got to watch it! You know! This movie I've watched before and I have been looking forward to watch it again but i didn't know where i could find because that time i watched was on the Cable TV or UBC. Anyway I'm happy now ^__^ I love this classical movie. I'm going to tell you how romantic is it.

This movie is kind of unrealistic because the movie began with the Richard was in some place and then the old woman came to him and gave him the watch, it's the luxury watch that people at that time have. He was confused but then he was at the hotel that the old lady was before. She had her exhibition at the place nearby the hotel that the Richard came along.
He found Elis Mckenna's picture and he fall in love with the picture. He did many things to try to get to know her. This is crazy you know even when he knew she was older than him many years ago he still wanted to see her. Elise at the same time of period that Richard was, she died right after the day she gave him the watch. ohh.. she said to him

. But finally he could make it to turn back the time at 1912 and he found her. They fall in love and they were very happy together. But he had to come back to his time because he had left the coin of the recent time in the pocket. Then he came back to his recent time, he didn't eat didn't sleep or do anything. He was thinking about her until he died. And i guess he had met her in the heaven because at the final he was the sceen of Elis and Richard together. So I guess it was an
Happy Ending...^_^ but so Romantic!
Characteristics - It seem like people at that time was quite rich and they spoke british accent. If i'm not wrong I think Elis spoke with the English accent.
- Girls are fashionable.
- Guys are polite and very gentle with ladies.
Artifacts-People in the movie seem to not ride horse anymore they had car and railway.
-And you have got to see her dress and hat..Oh my gad! it's so beautiful!
- so i think people in the Indusrial age must be very rich to make out the dress like that as i think it was the period of beginning of textile, costume and so.
Result or Moral - the result...if Ajarn mean the result of the movie I would say the movie i have got it was quite unrealistic. but Maybe at that period of time they reall y that the thoery of turning back the time was practical.
- but the result of forcing the nature it would kill you in the other side. Richard seem to be too much into the unrealistic and he couldn't accept that she was in the other period of time and it impossible to turn the time to her.
-Finally he could make it but the result of that made him heart and be like dead people after he couldn't turn back the time to her anymore.
My Favourite Country Music
I'm sorry if I take some of anybody's singers but I would like to write about some of musics that A. Cecil gave me the week after mid-term exams. I would say it's actually my type of music that i like now.
For example of my Hero, Johnny Cash, I'm actually know him from the movie "Walk the Line" I love this movie. Some people told me that it's boring but it's not oring for me. But i'm not really sure that they play the movie that very close to Johnny Cash's life.
My favourite
song is " Walk the line" i think he really wrote it from his feeling and experience and it's so real. It's just like whatever how's your life been through and you listen to the songs and you were like " yeah! that song is just like my situation" it's like this kind of stuffs to make Johnny Cash Popular, i think.
Related to the movie
" Walk the line" my impression about him and the prisoner that he wanted to have a concert in the prison for the prisoners and he was like actually wrote how the prisoners felt and been through. I'm not sure but he was probably been to the jail before or something that made him wrote the great song made him popular among the prisoners.
While i was listening to the CD I've heard the song " If tomorrow never some"...this is the new theory that the original song was
Garth Brooks who sing the song! but i prefer the new version anyway.
Can't believe it that I've found Faith Hill in the CD, I don't think she is that old to be included in the same period of music time with Johnny Cash. But maybe they are singing the country music that's why Ajarn put them together. Faith Hill is also a woman that I am impress because she is very beautiful eventhough she is a lil old now. I think 40 yrs or something and her voice! it's so powerful. I don't know how to explain but she is so perfect! ^_^ I love this song " This kiss"
If i would compare the country music with Blues.. i would say the country music is more happy music. it's just like people at the period of time were not that much depress as much as people in the blues music.. this is just my opinion.
In Country music they seem to add more instrument and the lyrics seem more to be like a poems...i think it's beautiful and fun.
Anyway I hope i'm writing the right thing for this course right now. and I'm going to finish the other 2 movies.

I am BacK!
I've been very very busy last week after I came back from the Beach "Koh Samet" everything was so fine and relaxing...but when i got back to the reality in this Big city T_T I wanted to cry..or i could die right now..
Hmm..anyway I feel so bad that i have missed many classes because i was only doing the financial plan on the Small Business subject. I'm not going to talk about it anymore.. it's a nightmare. The one who donn't really know the Accounting system and how to manage accounting in the firm..they won't understand how headache you would be faced to..but anyway it's the past.
I'm going to the Aspects. class regularly on next Monday...Too bad I wanted to write about Mr. Johnny Cash as he is my hero after i have seen the movie Talk the line. I didn't sign the name on last Thursday..Hmm I will write about him anyway :P.
American Outlaws VS. Jesse James

I have watched these 2 versions of Jesse James movie. The old movie I did some research that it was at the time of 1939. The old version which the movie call Jesse Jame it seem like history of the real Jesse James. Even when they shown me how he died it was like the documentary Ajarn preview in the class. So i guess this old version is related to the reality of Jesse James.
But to be honnest the old version was quite boring for me. In the movie there were not many main actors. They didn't even tell me about Jesse's cousin even Jimmy, Jesse younger brother.
There were only Frank and Jesse James. Zee , Jesse's wife, she was with Uncle Ruff!!?? but why the American Outlaws said Zee was with the old man name Doc..hmm i don't know what is his name actually but Jesse called him Doc.

The way Jesse's mother died was quite the same for both version. But I don't understand why the old version Mr.Wright, Marshall, in the movie was related to the story. He likes Zee also but he was a nice guy. He even helps Jeese.
I havent got many pictures of the old Jeese James movie but let's me introduce the main actors of the American outlaws movie first ^_^
This is my Hero! I think Cole is fit to be Jeese James in the American outlaws. He has loads of charms, sweet , romantic and tons power of fighting.
Jeese James in Ameican outlaws it's actually quite over realistic. It's just a typical Hollywood movie. Jeese James was not die in the movie. It was an Happy ending movie.
He was going to the new place with Zee at the end of the movie. It's Tennesse but the Jesse James old version they were going to Califonia. This is an outstanding contrast I have seen.
Cole Younger, this guy was good on shooting in the movie. I don't really know if the realistic he was almost as famous as Jesse but in the American outlaws he seems to be the second famous guy.
Frank James, he is Jesse's brother but he was not really show up outstanding like Cole. He was mature and good for writing especially about William Shakspears(sorry i'm not sure how to pronounce the name).
Jimmy James, the younger brother of Jeese. I have heard about him in the documentary video that Ajarn shown in the class. So I supposed that he was exist in the Jesse family because he was not exist in the old version Jesse James.
Zee, i don't know her full name but in American Outlaws she was so good with gun and stuffs. It's quite contrast with the old version, Zee was such a sweet and weak girl. She kept crying for a whole movie about Jesse James. They even got a son together.
Oh..I forgot one thing. This is funny ^^, the old Jesse James he had a colour skin slave name Pinkies ^__^! which American outlaws doesn't have.
Anyway for the culture and all view in my opinion. I think american people at that time they didn't afraid of the laws that much. They knew that they could escape to somewhere else because the laws at that time was not as strict as now aday. Having guns and weapons seem to be something normal there, maybe it because that time there were still War.
People at that time they were not really ready for the new things like the Railroad. Because they would have lost their own farm to build the Railroad. Poor them T_T they had to lose their own property.
MCKENNA'S GOLD
This Movie names Mckenna's Gold and Mckenna is the name of Marshal. He shown up at the beginning of the movie with an old Indian man. The old Indian man was a leader of the tribe that knew where was the gold. The Marshal, Mckenna, he was not really believe in the supernatural story about gold that it's real. But anyway the old indian man tried to kill him in the desert but the man was good. He shot back the old indian man instead. He didn't want the old man die though. The old man told him about the gold and the map and then passed away.
This is Mckenna, he didn't believe about gold and seem like he was the one in the movie that was not greedy, anyway after he saw the map he thrown away the map into the fire. In the movie his character was the one who had a good memory so he could remember everything in the Map.
His name is Colorado, he is the most greediest guy in the movie. He killed
Inga Bergmann's father.
This is her.
This is the place that they went to and there was actually gold there. But Colorado was too greedy. He didn't want to share the gold with anybody else so he killed everybody he joined the adventure with him. But he couldn't kill Mackenna and Inga.
A whole movie was only flighting, people running around, some people came to join expected to get the share of the gold. But finally there were only 3 people left, Mackenna, Colorado and Inga.
The one who got the gold was actually Mackenna because he didn't know that he rode the horse that Sergeant, the leader of Solider, took on the back of the horse.
The situation was wuite busy at the end because one group of Indian came with horses then gone so white people had to hide. The rock were destroyed everybody tried to escape from the place. At the end Colorado sperated with Mackenna and the gold was on the back of the horse he rode and he didn't know that.
I like this movie and I think this movie's kind of telling the viewer that don't be too greedy because everybody wanted to have all their own gold and finally they died because they killed each other.
The one who didn't believe that the gold was existed and he got everything. ^__^
Time in the movie was the time of white people and Indian people live. Indian people knew the Language? I'm not sure if the movie try to make it to be easy as everybody speak English or not.
And Indian people could even be friends with white people? they were not slaves of white people. But they do really believe in the supernatural things. Actually it's just like Asian people now. Like my mum , she still believe in the supernatural things and she does believe. She even goes to the temples every weekend or anytime that she is free.
However I do enjoy the movie and this movie should have a new nickname as "The Greedy story" ^___^!

Big Bill Broonzy
Biography of William Lee Conley Broonzy
Broonzy's life as a child was hard because he received only minimal schooling. He had to quite school to help his sharecropping family around the house. Before he moved to Arkansas, Broonzy had learned how to play the fiddle from his uncle Jerry Belcher. At the age of fourteen, he start working for tips at country dances, picnics, and played for the church (Broonzy). During the years 1912-1917, he worked part time as a preacher and violinist. Also, Broonzy served in the US Army during World War I. After his discharge, he returned back to Arkansas. This is when he decided that farming was not what he wanted to do for the rest of his life. He wanted to make his living as a guitar player and singer. In 1924, Broonzy moved to Chicago to start his music career partly because of all the racism that was happening in the South. Under the guidance of Papa Charlie Jackson, Broonzy learned how to play the guitar. In the 1930’s Broonzy became known as one of the major artist on the Chicago Blues scene. During this time he performed with other top blues artist in Chicago-- like Memphis Minnie, Tampa Red, Jazz Gillum, Lonnie Johnson, and John Lee “Sonny Boy” Williamson. Also, while trying to make it in the music business, he worked as a janitor and maintenance man (Big Bill Broonzy).

In my opinion...while i'm writing this Blog about Big Bill Broonzy's song..i'm listening to the music of him calls "Kansas City" from the CD-rom that Arjarn gave me.
I think the music that they play quite good actually but one thing is he keep singing the same lyrics repeat many times. I don't know if it the way of blues music like. The lyrics are seem simple to me but I think he write the songs from his experience and his life.
The Alamo (John Wayne's Version)
This is the other version of "The Alamo" and I think this version is better than the first one ^_^. I like it!
This Alamo movie gave me more information about the main actors. Because on the first version I didn't really know much who were really the main actors, what i knew was only they were going to fight with the Santa Anna to the purpose of getting Texas.
I knew more about Mr.Davy Crockett, the one who is on the picture above, he seem to be the main actor in this version and he was the famous one, they put some story about him with one young lady. Some ramance and entertain were in the movie when Davy Crokett were around.
This guy is Jim Bowie, I know more about him from this old version movie that he was quite a good friend with Davy Crockett. Because from the new version I have seen the part that Davy brought the weapon into Jim Bowie's room when he was sick on the bed so when the enimies came Jim would be able to protect himself. And he was a nice guy in this version, they also talk about his wife a little bit.
William Barret Travis in the old version he was not impress me that much. It seem like he liked to command people to do things, that annoyed Jim Bowie as in the both version they fight at the beginning. With William's braveness he made people believe in him and they got loads encouragement. But still he was the young and good looking guy for the both version ^__^
General Sam Houston was also the main charactor that i could see in the old version as in the new version but he didn't have much role in the movie he was at the beginning and the end of the movie.
Anyway the over all about this old version it was quite fun more than the new version. Although the quality of the old version was not really look like the reality like the new one but the director had done a great job for telling and connecting the story at that moment. We don't have to guess like the recently movie.
Glory
Glory is a movie about one 23 years old guy name Robert Gould Shaw, he was born in the rich family and his father was quite powerful.
Robert was a captain in the US. force. He servived from the war between the states. Then after that he had got an order to gather the colour people to be trained to be a soldier.
Well actually this movie is talking about black people that at that time around year 1862 in the movie. Black people had no choice to be with the white people, they could only be slaves. And the black people that has trained to be soldiers were the group of people who were looking for freedom and some other things which is not being slave. They wanted their families and other black people to get the freedom. In the battle they were so ready to fight and they did so well.
This guy he was the one of black people in the movie. He didn't have a good attitude with white people who look down and not fair to black people. He was quite rude tho but finally he realized something that Robert was not like what he had thought.
After the movie I felt so sorry for the black people in the movie and in reality at the past time. Black people were so poor and they had no choice of being black. It was such an awful moment of black people.
And what I could see in the movie at that time was again pople in US. they didn't really afraid to die. They were just doing it because of their own freedom. And "this is how the movie called Glory, it means the Glory of black people"
About Music
I'm talking about the music CD. They are not my kind of music but I believe people at that time they could feel the music. It's just like we are in the different moment and different taste.
But anyway by listening for the emotion of the singers or instrument of the music. I could feel something about it. I'm sorry it hard to say "how" but things always have the reason of making it. It's just like music. We make the music to express our feeling and our story to the listener. And I think it's the better way than just speak words. ^_^
The Alamo
The Alamo is the name of a small village which was set up to be a crossroad of the battle. At the Alamo place I think it was the United Maxican State group. First I would like to tell you that related to the text book I have read on the page 119 it was about "Treaty of Guadalupe Hidalgo (1848)" in the book they said there were the United State of American and the United Mexican State.
So that makes me understand more about the situation in the movie that why people in the Alamo speak Spanish. Anyway there were 2 sides, Mexican and Spanish side. People who live in the Alamo they were the folk. What I think about the movie is Alamo was the way that people who wanted to go to Texas they would pass the Alamo first. So that's why some group of Soldiers stopped by the Alamo first as they knew that the Spanish army were arriving.
This movie a whole movie it was about the war. People wanted to be independent and they wanted to reach to Texas as they wish to get the new life there. But it wasn't easy since the Spanish army came to the Alamo. The soldiers tried hard to encourage folks to fight and stood up for themselves.
As I saw in the movie the black people were still slave and they didn't want to be slave. But anyway finally folks in the Alamo collaborated to the soldier( I think it was the US. soldier). The battle between Mexican and Spanish were cruel. Unfortunately the Alamo was destroyed because they didn't have enough people as they ask for help to the Government but they were too late.
After the Alamo the Spanish army move forward and finally they met the other US. army that were coming to help the Alamo. And finally the Spanish army lost and Anna Santa, the head of Spanish army, had to sign the agreement about Texas to exchange with his life.
I'm sorry about this terrible summary but I don't really watch this type of movie because for me it's depressing I don't like to watch people kill and fight to each other. But in the movie has made me learn something about what they said "Victory or Death" if it's not wrong they were telling that people at that time they could do everything for the country.
And this is my impression about how United State at the moment could be this large. ^_^

David Crockett:
I think he is an Artist. In the movie he played Violin beating the Spanish band. Even at the beginning of the movie he was introduced to the crowd at the theatre that Mr. Crockett was the inspiration of the show.
And he was the one who were alive at the Alamo.
William Barret Travis:
I think he was a good guy. He loved his country and he was not selfish thinking only about his family but the others. He knew what he was doing and he didn't afraid to die for the victory.
Although in the movie it seem to be that he was a bad guy left his family to the battle but he did the best for his job.He even encouraged people to fight for their own victory.

Santa Anna:
This guy was the biggest head of the Spanish army. He was totaly bad and selfish guy I ever seen in the movie. He had all the power on Spanish side.

The Scarlet letter
The Scarlet letter is the movie about one lady, Hester Prynne , she was punished and her baby was the excuse. In the society at that time the punishment seem to be harmful. For the one who made the mistake they would be punished and also there would be the explaination sign for the reason why they got punished.
Hester Prynne's case of the punishment is quite different because she got married and during her husband was not in the town she got pregnant with one guy in the town. And people in the town judged that it was a sin and that guy was a secret person. Hester didn't want to tell anybody beause she didn't want him to be in trouble.
Five years later when the child grew up. She was a cute little girl but people in the town didn't treat her really well because the little girl's mother had the scarlet letter and actually the letter was a letter "A". Also the little young girl had some trouble with the other kids.
Until one day the guy who was a little girl's father he couldn't be patient with watching his wife and child to be annoyed by the people in the town. So he decided to spoke out in the confession stand that he was the father of the little girl. And then he passed away because he had the pain inside for a while ago and it was because of the punishment of Hester Prynne.
